Well Hello.  I hadn't realized how long it had been since I wrote a journal.   Oops.
Things are good but tight at the moment.  I could be going without internet for a few days, but that is still up in the air.
Lately I have been spending a good deal of my time using my tablet for various things.  Trying to improve, and I am feeling better each time I use it.
I have started using Corel Painter 11 and Paint Tool Sai.  I am really loving Painter 11.  I am still doing my clean lines in Photoshop and color edits, but that is because I haven't quite figured Painter 11 out all the way.  Onward to learning it fully! Haha.

I have temporarily re-opened my GaiaOnline Art Shop Thread.  Although, I mainly just want to work on head-shots and busts at the moment.  I took portrait classes when I was a kid, but would really love to practice and work more on facial structure and expressions.
One will never improve if they don't take the advancing steps.
I am really hoping to get a few more deviants posted before my premium membership runs out in the next month or so.  I really hope I can get another membership, but.... we will just have to see.

Outside of my little internet and computer world, I have been preparing to celebrate my son, Vincent's 5th birthday.  Just 12 more days to go.  Where has the time gone?
Still thinking on whether or not to do theme or not for him, maybe How to Train your Dragon?  He loves that movie, and well... so do I, haha.

Right now I am working on some key chains and charms to take to a nearby arts & crafts flea market and try to sell.  ::Crossing my fingers::  And, if things work out the way I hope they will, I plan on opening an etsy shop.
I have a bunch of plans and things I am working on, but it all takes time.  Haha, patience is a virtue!  Thankfully my wonderful, Brandon, has been supportive about all of this.  At least he gets that I really want to do these things and has been by my side every step of the way, steadily encouraging me.
Well, I better go and get some things done so that I can make time for my creativity... otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight.
Hope you all are having a good week :)

About Time

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 20, 2010, 1:59 AM
I have almost everything packed and ready to go.  I have about two more boxes to finish up and then the cleaning process begins.  Hurray!  I am so excited that this is finally happening.  I love the house we've been living in but the town and area has been crappy. That, and I am a family girl so living four hours away from my family wasn't grand either.  But now I will only be about 15-20 minutes from them so I am all ecstatic about that.  Today is Friday and we should be loading everything in the U Haul Saturday, then leaving out Sunday morning.  I hope it isn't too hot out when we're moving.  That would be miserable.

Anyways, I don't know how long it will take to get the phone lines switched over or when we will get internet again.  It may take some time, and of course I won't be able to upload any new deviations until then.  I should have some by the time I return.  I am currently working on a request for my sister and it is turning into quite a fun and challenging project.
Well it is 4am and I should begin my day so that I can get everything taken care of.

I am beginning to feel a little antsy about moving...
It feels as if it can't come soon enough.  I am very excited.  Especially since I will only be 15 minutes from my family and I will be able to have a kitten in the new house.  Although, we cannot move until Brandon's job is over.  And, that feels like forever away.  Supposedly, we will be moving in about two weeks.  The only thing is, I am going to go through some internet withdraws.  Hopefully I will have a few pieces finished and uploaded when I return :D  Woohoo! I am getting more and more comments on my work in other places.  (Deviant hasn't always been a strong hold for me)
Things are looking good though.  I am getting practice in with some Gaia avi art requests... so that is always a plus.
Last weekend I did get to go visit my family down near the beach... Friday night I also went and seen Brantley Gilbert play at The Hangout.  That was an amazing concert.  I went with my two sisters and we had a ball.  I did get Brantley's and the whole bands autograph ^_^  Yay!  My sister's loved it... they had never heard of him until we had went.  It was great.  Other than that, I am just trying to get motivated to pack up my stuff.  I am such a procrastinator...
Obviously I am just rambling on because it's nearly 4am and there isn't much to do.  Back to the sketch pad I suppose.  I feel the creative juices flowing and I think I need to get on it while I can...and before it stops.

Ugh! Moving Again...

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 22, 2010, 9:03 AM
Woohoo!  I get to move again! -rolls eyes-
My Boyfriend's job is almost through, so we are going to be moving back to my Mom & Dads until he gets work again... and so he can find work.  Of course, I will be happy to be closer to them.  Being three and a half hours away kind of stinks.
Hopefully, the Boyfriend can get on one of the crews that are helping clean up the oil that is scattered across our beautiful Alabama beaches.
It still makes me sick inside knowing that I didn't get enough beach time in...before the disaster hit our shores.  The most heartbreaking part of it, is my son is constantly asking and wanting to go to the beach, to go swimming and we can't anymore.  Oh well, All I (We) can do is just hope and pray it gets better and we recover quickly from it.
In other news, I am working on another piece of art for someone on Gaiaonline.com and it's turning out pretty well.  I just need to clean it up and paint it in Photoshop CS4.  I really wish I had the new CS5, but I suppose it will have to come later.

Well, back to work on my art :)

(Love the use of Journal Skins right now)

I have been up since 3am o_O
And, since about 7am... I have been playing with Photoshop CS4 (Yay!)
So far, I have made three pieces. (One of those being a request from my little cousin.)
I'll be uploading them later.

Now to better up on painting with the program.
The things I have done so far, are like... banner backgrounds.

I'm having lots of fun, with it.  Now, I just need to keep working with it and keep practicing.

I have had a problem of finding good brushes that work with the program.  Or maybe, I am not installing them correctly.  I am not sure which yet, although I hope to figure it out.

Well, I am due for a break from the laptop.

I have the urge and  need to draw some more. Also, for some reason my inspiration is back and I am ready to go again.
Recently, I had only drawn mindless sketched that weren't even worth to scan, let alone uploading them.
However, with a new need to draw, I hope to produce a few more deviations :)
I need more of a collection of my work, and I have decided to not stray from this and start scanning my work.
I am also playing around with a few different styles (As I always have), so this should be rather fun...and hopefully I will be able to draw a few male pieces.

On another note, I need to re-install CS4 and learn how to use it.  I see so many beautiful pieces drawn, painted, and colored with similar programs, and I really wish and want to be able to have the same option.  I just need to practice.
With that said, I am hopping off of here so I can get back to work on some more pieces.

I finally have Photoshop CS4!  Its been such a long time without a picture editor that I nearly forgot how to use it.  Last time I worked with one I believe I was using PS8.  Long time... lol.  And when you start all over it isn't like riding a bike.  I'm slowly going through and re-learning everything so I don't miss out on anything specif or any certain technique.  WooHoo!

So I was looking for some inspiration and logged into my Deviant account... yay!  It's been a really long while since I've been here and not a whole lot of my work uploaded.  Well, lets say everything is different.  I no longer have photoshop or any picture editing tools :(  But thats ok... Because, I now have a scanner so you will see a lot more of my artwork.  And any photos I do happen to upload are raw, un-edited, un-modified pictures from my old digital camera.  Which, I am currently saving my pennies for a new one... but we'll see how that goes.

I guess it is safe to say that I had stepped away from my art for awhile do to life and the twists and turns it takes.  For example, I relocated and started fresh... And, now I am throwing myself back into my work and getting these creative juices flowing again.  Hooray for me ^_~
It hasn't been a struggle... but it has been a challenge, because my style has changed a little do to some growing up and seeing things at a different angle.  Still enjoy the same things (Mostly) but I am forever finding new inspirations.
So here we go again and off we go...
